Your privacy and data at Veblab

We collect information directly from you and through automated technical processes so we can deliver and improve the service. This includes:

• Account and authentication details: information handled by our identity provider, Clerk (name, email, profile image, authentication metadata). We store your Clerk user identifier to link your account to analyses.
• Website analysis inputs: URLs you ask us to review, the HTML, metadata, structured data, forms, call-to-action elements, navigation, headings, tech stack indicators, and screenshots that our crawler captures to perform analyses.
• Analysis outputs and recommendations: AI-generated insights, persona journeys, funnels, and other results linked to your account so you can revisit prior runs.
• Operational and support logs: workflow status updates, error reports, and device or timestamp metadata that help us secure the platform, monitor abuse, and debug issues.
• Local storage data: short-lived session storage entries on your device (for example, the pending site URL before sign-up). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We rely on this data to deliver the service, support legitimate business interests, and comply with legal obligations. Uses include:

• Running website analyses and generating recommendations.
• Personalizing in-product experiences, such as resuming recent analyses or storing your custom personas.
• Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, preventing abuse, and securing accounts.
• Communicating with you about the product, updates, or support requests.
• Improving the accuracy and reliability of our AI-assisted features, including aggregated, de-identified metrics.
• Meeting legal, tax, audit, and compliance requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the platform:

• Service providers: authentication (Clerk), AI processing (OpenAI), hosting and infrastructure partners (such as Render or similar cloud providers), analytics tied to product performance, email, and customer support tools.
• Website operators you authorize: if you share reports externally, you control that disclosure.
• Legal and safety: to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Veblab, our users, or the public.
• Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of company assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Whenever we transfer information internationally, we rely on approved mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) and appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational measures.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to processing in certain circumstances. You also have the right to opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise these rights, update your account settings in Clerk or contact us via tuomas@veblab.com. If you believe we have not addressed your privacy concerns, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
